The Jordan Lions Minor Hockey Association’s (JLMHA) goal for the 2025/26 season is to provide a Rostered Select program at each level from U11-U18, with the possibility of a modified U9 team.
What is Select?
A Rostered Select team (RS) is comprised of players selected from our House League (HL) teams. Our RS teams are part of an enhanced development program that offers players an opportunity to play at a more competitive level while continuing to be part of our HL program. Players who are selected to play on the Select team will continue to play with their House League team, this is mandatory.
Eligibility Chart:
U9 - 2017 only
U11 - 2015/16
U13 - 2013/14
U15 - 2011/12
U18 - 2008/09/10
Time Commitment
RS teams will practice up to 4 times per month and participate in up to 16 exhibition games throughout the season. Some home and some away at other centers. These can take place any day of the week.
All the teams will travel together, and participate in 3-4 tournaments this season with 1-2 being away tournaments.
Player Commitment: Those who make the team are expected to be available to play any day of the week.
(Home Games will be on Sundays at least 1x monthly)
The select program operates within the parameters set by the OMHA.
Financial Commitment
Tryouts Fee = TBD for 3 Sessions
Season Registration = TBD
Tournament Fee = approx $200-$300 + Hotel Accommodations
Uniform = TBD (Warm-up pants/Jacket)
