Lifting Proof of Vaccination
Submitted By Dave Winslade on Tue 03 01, 22
Good evening JLMHA families,
In consultation with the Chief Medical Officer of Health, the Ontario government is lifting proof of vaccination in public spaces in a coordinated approach across the province.

The revised Ontario regulation 364/20 will be in place to prevent COVID-19 effective March 1, 2022.Additionally, Dr. Mustafa Hirji, Medical Officer of Health & Commissioner (Acting) for Niagara Region Public Health, will rescind the local section 22 orders and letter of instructions in place are no longer likely to have a significant effect with the removal of complementary provincial measures.

The orders and letter of instruction will rescind the orders and letter of instructions in these premises effective 12:01 a.m. on March 1, 2022.  Effective March 1, 2022, while visiting Town of Lincoln facilities, proof of vaccination will no longer be required, but passive visitor screening will remain in effect.

Everyone must continue to follow Public Health guidelines to limit the spread of COVID-19:
Practicing 2 (6 feet) meter physical distancing
Niagara Region Face Covering By-law
Frequent washing/sanitization of hands
Avoiding touching shared surfaces
Staying home if feeling ill
Mask or Face Covering Required Indoors

With respect to the arenas, all restrictions including dressing room capacity limits and entry time limitations have been removed. Consistent with the Niagara Region Face Covering By-law  wearing of a facial covering will remain in effect in all areas of the facility including dressing rooms.

It is recognized that although restrictions are being lifted, the COVID-19 virus remains in circulation in Niagara, and ongoing diligence with the remaining provincial measures is recommended.  It is essential to understand that individual comfort and circumstances will differ from community member to community member; please be respectful and come from a place of compassion as to underlying circumstances that may reflect someone's choice to continue additional measures.
