Jordan Lions Minor Hockey Families,

With recent developments and direction provided by the OHF, and OMHA, we would like to provide our members with some updates on the 2020-2021-hockey season.

As mentioned previously, the season will be starting on September 19th and we will be using a graduated approach as mandated by the OHF. After fully studying the OHF Return to Hockey framework, it is now our understanding that this is the absolute safest way to ensure our kids get back to playing hockey while also ensuring their absolute safety during this pandemic.

JLMHA 2020-21 Return to Play Framework Highlights

·       Non-traditional hockey program for the 2020-21 season until such time as we reach Stage 4 within the OHF Return to Play Framework

·       The first two weeks MINIMUM of all programs will consist of development - target start date Sept 19, 2020

·       Rosters will consist of 9 players and 1 goalie.  Players are only allowed to play on one team and there will be no affiliation

·       Teams will be placed in Age Division League Bubbles of no greater than 5 teams (50 Players co-horts).

·       Play will consist of 3 on 3/ 4 on 4

·       Only Goalies may be rostered to multiple teams but still must not exceed 10 players to a team

The fees up to December 19th have been set at $370.00 ($200 for IP) for Town of Lincoln Residents and $395.00 ($225 for IP) for Out of Town players.  The remainder of the fees will be determined as the season progresses.  If you have already registered, the difference will be deducted from your credit card on September 15th.  If you are just registering, a $100 deposit will be required now followed by the remainder of the fees owing on September 15th.

If you are not comfortable allowing your child back on the ice, please let us know no later than Thursday September 10th.  This will allow us to finalize ice usage and scheduling.  You will receive a 100% refund.  If and when we return to 5 on 5 hockey you are more than welcome to register again.  After the Sept 10th deadline, all refunds will be prorated with an automatic $50.00 cancellation fee before the start of the season.  Since we are losing revenue from the Food Booth and Select Tournament we will be running on a very tight budget this year.  Other local Associations are not permitting multi-child discounts this year so everyone’s understanding will be much appreciated this year!  Things will look different, especially for the first part of the year so we ask for your patience, understanding and flexibility as we progress into the season.

We look forward to seeing your players in the arena very soon.

JLMHA
